@cygnoir I’ve heard so many good things about it that I’m really looking forward to reading it.

@rcrackley Certainly was! I have been a fan of his poetry for a while, but I didn’t know much about his life before reading this book.
@cygnoir It’s the first book of hers I’ve read, but I’m waiting for Station Eleven from the library.
@BestofTimes That’s fabulous. I like the bit about the hidden whiskey cabinet in the fitting room!
@BestofTimes <zooms in on interesting sewing machine>
@BestofTimes Love the Er 19/1 and the use of Ye Olde Tippex. Brings back memories. I have a similar set somewhere with my thesis on it, probably cryptically labelled too. Somewhere I even have some 5 1/2” floppies, though goodness knows what’s on those.
@BestofTimes You should see our place - books teetering on every surface! We have been known to to watch period murder mysteries and completely forget about the murder and pause the scene so we can ogle the library shelves 😂
@lostinhaste That’s a shame. I’ve imported a few books through Calibre, but not many.
@mroutley Thanks! The Libby integration seems like magic to me.
@BestofTimes Do you read mostly physical books then? I probably would too if we had more shelf space, but I do enjoy both ways of reading.
@mindofaaronw Thanks! I think it’s pretty obvious that I’m a fan 😁
@Burk Four 😭. The alarm clock gets reset on the day the clocks go back or bad things happen. The one in the car gets reset the first time I panic that I'm an hour late getting somewhere. The one on the mantel piece might wait a day or two, but gets changed fairly quickly, but the kitchen clock (which needs a stepladder to get up to change) can be an hour out for months 🤣. We have given up entirely on the microwave clock...
@pimoore Sounds like a good plan! Or buy a belt… seriously though, well done on making great progress towards your goal 🎉
@pimoore Congratulations / Commiserations 😂
@pimoore Happy Birthday! 🥳
@pimoore Heh, I’m sure I’m not! I am a fairly fast reader, but I’ve got an unusual (for me) number of books on the go at the moment, so I am feeling the pressure of that wish list!
@pratik 😂 I do think my to read list is going to grow a lot faster than my ‘have read’ pile, and I’m ok with that.
@BestofTimes Glad you are enjoying them. I was lucky to find a second-hand pair of Tracker Forest ESC boots on eBay, and loved them for long walks on the South Downs. I tripped over much less!
@BestofTimes Glad you like them! Those tactile pavers at road crossings are a particular foot massage treat.
@odd It’s definitely too far to commute, unfortunately! I would like to find somewhere similar though.
@odd 😂
@odd Interesting! I remember seeing a T-shirt with “Republic of Pangea” on it once and it made me laugh.
@hollyhoneychurch Weston-Super-Mud?
@BestofTimes I haven’t tried them. What I like about Vivobarefoot is that they make them to be repairable, so you can send them back and get the sole replaced for eg.
@BestofTimes I hope you enjoy them. They seem incidentally to have helped increase my foot flexibility and strength.
